The whole game as an app: full screen with no browser bars, the screen kept awake while you play, sideways or upright - the same world and the same players as the browser and the PC, always on the newest version of the game.
Open this page on your Android phone and tap Download the app. Chrome may warn that the file can be harmful - it says that about every app that is not from the Play Store. Tap Download anyway.
Tap the finished download to open it. The first time, Android asks whether Chrome may install apps from unknown sources: tap Settings, switch on Allow from this source, then go back.
Tap Install. Google Play Protect may say "Unsafe app blocked" or offer to scan the app, because it is new and not from the Play Store: tap More details, then Install anyway (or let it scan, then install).
Open Athenia Online from your home screen and tap Sign in with Google. Google's page opens in your phone's browser; choose your account and you are brought straight back into the app.
Turn the phone sideways for the widest view. The Back button closes windows first and asks before leaving the game.
Already have the app? Download and install this version over it - no need to uninstall. Your heroes live on your account on our server, so nothing is lost. Version 1.0.0 (the first app) cannot finish the Google sign-in: please update.
Good to know
Requirements: Android 7.0 or newer with an up-to-date Android System WebView (it updates through the Play Store), a phone from the last few years with 3 GB of memory or more, and an internet connection - the game is online.
Updates: the app opens the live game, so new content arrives without a new download. A new app version is only needed when the app itself changes; this page always has the newest.
Low memory: if the phone runs short, the game drops to a lighter mode by itself instead of closing.
Check the file (optional): the SHA-256 above is the fingerprint of the exact file on this page. A checksum app on the phone, or certutil -hashfile athenia-online-1.0.2.apk SHA256 on a Windows PC, must show the same 64 characters.
Uninstall: long-press the icon and choose Uninstall. Your heroes stay on your account.
